We came to Lemon Grove for the same reasons most people do--great schools, a good community feel, and a great house we could actually afford! For ten years I have served this community as a Board Member for the Lemon Grove School District. I have shown that I can make tough decisions and work with a variety of people to promote the education of our children. Now I want to put my experience to work for the whole city. We have a good city here, but we need to push ourselves to do better. I want to see more public discussion about how we are developing as a city. As we pursue economic development, we must realize that the historic character of Lemon Grove is one of our greatest assets. We also could be doing more to celebrate the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of our city. I want to see more serious discussion at the neighborhood level about the issues that concern you most. In some neighborhoods people are concerned about sanitation systems, potholes and code violations. In other places the discussion is about crime, drugs and poverty. Whatever the issues, I am eager to tackle all the concerns you have! I will be walking EVERY neighborhood during this campaign. I hope I get to meet you.
